The Normaco PLM2 is a portable, pneumatically driven 2-axis milling machine designed for on-site machining where low weight and easy handling are required. Its compact design allows for manual transport and use in restricted access areas, including rope access applications.
The machine is built for straightforward setup and stable operation in field conditions. A rigid guide system with hardened, ground rails, combined with high-quality ball screws, provides controlled movement and repeatable results. The pneumatic drive supports use in environments where cold work is required, with low spindle speeds suited to such conditions.
The standard configuration features a lightweight aluminium structure for ease of handling. For applications requiring higher rigidity, the machine can be supplied with a solid frame construction, designated PMM2.

Control and Operation
Optional remote control units are available for both pneumatic and electric configurations. These allow the operator to control spindle start/stop, feed direction, and feed speed from a safe distance. Electric versions utilize a servo-driven auto feed system for controlled and repeatable motion.

Drive Options
2-Axis milling machine can be equipped with different motors, depending on the requirement.
Air motors are available in two options, straight standard model, or right angle motor.
Straight drive is supplied as standard, it has 3kW air motor.
Right angle Drive has 2.5kw air motor that can be adjusted to several orientations, making it possible to work in spaces with space restrictions.
We also offer an electric drive, with powerful 1.8kW electric motor that uses 230v connection.
