Normaco: Practical Solutions for On-Site Machining
Normaco’s history traces back to the late 1990s when the Norwegian company Thermotech began producing split-frame pipe cutting and beveling machines in Estonia. In 2009, Thermotech established its own factory, expanding production beyond split frames to include subcontracting work and special-purpose equipment. Portable machining equipment was also developed to meet customer demands in Norway.
In 2019, a new brand was created around the portable machining equipment line, and the range of on-site machining products was further developed to better serve industry needs. As part of a major restructuring in 2022, the split-frame manufacturing and development operations were sold to a third party, while the Normaco brand and product line were acquired by the current management. Since then, Normaco has been a privately owned and entrepreneur-led company focused on the development and production of portable machining equipment.
Our goal is straightforward: to help our customers solve challenges in on-site machining by providing practical, effective solutions. Our equipment is designed with mobility and reliability in mind, ensuring that work can be done efficiently in environments where other methods may not be suitable.
